Table2CSS 3.9.0 has been released. This release has the following changes from the previous version:

- The "Horizontal percentages" and "Vertical percentages" options have been changed from checkboxes to drop-downs and the following options are available:

Yes: In this case all converted tables sizes use percentages even in cases when Table2CSS thinks that percentages may not work well.

No: In this case only absolute units will be used for all converted table sizes. This setting is identical to leaving the percentage box unchecked in previous versions of Table2CSS.

Smart: In this case Table2CSS will use percentages for table sizes only in cases where percentages will not break the converted table. This setting is identical to leaving the percentage box checked in previous versions of Table2CSS.

Table2CSS 3.8.9 has been released. This is a maintenance release which has the following changes :

- In previous versions non-standard tags were always output in their expanded form, even if the input file had them in their short form. E.g
<nonstandard />
was expanded to:
<nonstandard></nonstandard>
With the new release non-standard tags are always kept in the form in which they were in the original input file.

- In some cases nested non-standard tags were not properly parsed and as a result they were not correctly output in the resulting file. This has been fixed.

- Unknown tags that use the XHTML short syntax had an invalid attribute /="" added in the output. E.g.

was output as
<invalidtag /=""></invalidtag>

Table2CSS 3.8.7 has been released. This is a maintenance release which corrects the following issues :

- For pages rendered in QUIRKS mode tables incorrectly inherited text styles from their parent containers. This has been corrected and such pages now get their text styles from the document BODY element.

- Parsing has been improved for TBODY and TR elements that contain incorrect child elements like B, EM, I, FONT.

Table2CSS 3.7.0 has been released. Changes from the previous version include:

- The checkbox "Force standards mode" has been replaced by a drop-down called "Promote DocType to". The new drop-down setting allows more flexible control over the change of doctypes. The default setting is to promote Quirks doctypes to Almost standards mode and to leave unchanged doctypes which specify Almost standards or Full standards mode. This fixes many small issues with the conversion of different web pages that use Quirks or Almost standards mode.
- Some of the "General" setting values have been moved to a new tab called "CSS".
- General improvements to the user interface of Table2CSS.

Table2CSS 3.4.3 has been released. Changes from the previous version include:

- A new option called "Default line height" has been added. It allows setting the default line height of converted pages to a standard percentage value. This allows to workaround Firefox issues when switching from Quirks or Almost standards mode to Full standards mode.

- A new checkbox called "Recurse subdirectories" has been added to the [Add directory] dialog. The new option is turned on by default and instructs Table2CSS to add files from subdirectories too.

- Several fixes have been made to the user interface of Table2CSS to prevent it from crashing and/or opening multiple "DOM viewer" windows.

Table2CSS 3.4.0 has been released. Changes from the previous version include:

- Two new settings called "Collect position styles" and "Collect dimension styles" have been added. These options control whether the position (left, top, right, bottom and the width) and the dimension (min-width, min-height, height, min-height, max-height, line-height) styles are collected into CSS rules or left as inline styles in the HTML code. By default the new options are enabled which forces Table2CSS to behave like it did in the previous versions.

When these two options are disabled and the layout type is set to Floating, Table2CSS will generate much less CSS rules at the cost of a slightly larger HTML code.

- Table2CSS used to crash in some cases when converting pages in Smart scripting mode. This has been fixed.

- In some cases when aligning content vertically via padding-top, Table2CSS used to misalign the content, especially when non-breakable whitespace ( ) was used to align the original content. This has been fixed.

Table2CSS 3.3.15 has been released. Changes from the previous version include:

- A workaround has been added for a bug in IE8 that could cause an incorrect conversion in Floating layout mode.
- Tables with both colspans and rowspans can be converted in Floating layout mode provided that the rowspans are in the leftmost column.
- Floating layout cells no longer have the "clear: both" CSS property, unless it is required. This makes the CSS code generated in Floating mode more compact.
- All table cells converted in Floating mode have "display: inline". This improves the chances that two or more cells will have identical styles and generally decreases the size of the generated CSS code.
- A JavaScript error was displayed when the converted document contained JavaScript code that tried to access document.location.href. This has been fixed.
- The option "Horizontal percentages" is turned off by default.
