Hello Gina,
Thank you for reporting this issue.

Table2CSS has a limited support for PHP files. More precisely it can process HTML files with embedded PHP code. Whether the file extension is .php or something else it doesn't matter as long as Table2CSS is able to recognize the basic HTML structure in these files. This means that the PHP file must start with an <html> tag preceded by an optional <DOCTYPE> tag.

The above means that most .php files which are just HTML templates can be converted. On the other hand .php files which generate all of their HTML content on the fly are not real HTML documents so Table2CSS cannot convert them. However you still can convert the HTML output from such files. Place the .php file on a web server, then make sure that it works correctly by visiting the URL of that php file in a web browser, e.g.
http://www.the-server-with-your-file/script.php
Then enter that URL from the "Add file/URL" dialog. Of couse after the conversion the result will be an HTML file, not a PHP one.

We will add a fix for this crash and will release a minor update of Table2CSS today, but if your file does not have an HTML structure, then the only option would be to convert its HTML output. If you doubt if your .php file can be converted as a template, feel free to send the PHP file to support@table2css.com. I will take a look at it and will let you know if it can be processed as an HTML template.

Best regards,
Vesselin
