I have a horizontal navigation above a masthead, both reside in the same table cell but when converted it creates a line of separation between the 2.

Please advise

Hello Kelly,
Please email the URL that you are converting to support@table2css.com. In case you are trying to convert a local HTML file, just attach an archive of the original HTML file along with any accompanying images, scripts, css files, etc.

Also please let me know in which browser are you viewing the converted file.

Best regards,
Vesselin

Hello Kelly,
This is caused by a minor defect in Table2CSS. We will release a corrected version of Table2CSS tomorrow, but meanwhile you can fix it manually by switching the document type from Strict to Transitional.

At the top of your converted page there is a line which reads:

<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/strict.dtd">

replace it with:

<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd">

This will remove the extra whitespace.

Best regards,
Vesselin
